Sexual Synchronicity

Today, Ramana puts on his blog a Scientific American article that recounts a study showing men becoming more stupid around attractive women.  My theory there is that blood diverted from the brain may be to blame, but … well, never mind.

On the very same day, bikehikebabe sends out an email that is relevant:

WOMEN

A real woman is a man's best friend.
She will never stand him up and never let him down.
She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him
after a bad day.
She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to
live without fear and forget regret.
She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to
his most intimate desires.
She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most
handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident,
sexy, seductive and invincible...

No wait...Sorry.

I'm thinking of Scotch. It's Scotch that does all that shit.

Never mind.

shackman, the universe has indicated the truth through synchronicity: a man needs his intelligence to cope with life.  Give him a chance.  Give him a good single malt.

  1. Are trying to say that blood leaves one head and goes to another head?
Actually Old Foss, what are you talking about?

    1. You clearly know the answer, Mayo! Too late to regain innocence at our age.

  3. I'm with you on that one, Shackman.
But Chivas doesn't do bad as a blend.
    Cheers!

    1. Mayo I began my scotch drinking adventures with Chivas and Johnnie Walker Black - both still do in a Pinch (as does Pinch)

    2. I like both Chivas and JWBlack, but I'm still waiting for my JWBlue, promised to me by one of Clay's groomsmen. The holdup is that the source is in jail right now. Really.

  4. Mayo, and Shackman, my poison during the good old days was Laphroaig. I was taken to their distillery in Scotland and got hooked. Try.

    1. I've had it - very nice. I usually keep Glenlivet on hand because it's readily available.

    2. Haven't had it, but wanna! I've had my share of Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Macallan. All good!

    1. Careful now, Ramana: To me a man's brain, his way with words, his powers of observation, his wit, are their USPs (unique selling points). I remember once falling for a guy, on sight. Dear dog in heaven: We must have triggered all the right biologically programmed responses in each other to make babies. The heat across the room was palatable. THEN he opened his mouth: A fire extinguisher couldn't have done a better job than to chill me to the bone. So that was that.

    2. Can you tell with the intelligence shining through the eyes like a man can with a woman?

  6. See Ursula? I told TOF so! You must be devastating.

    1. Ursula, a chat with you with a nice libation would truly be a treat!

  7. "Devastating"? Ramana, if I were a hurricane they'd name me after myself; the only snag being that the letter 'U' does not feature in the hurricane alphabet. Talk about being exclusive.

    Light breeze greetings,
    U
