Dance

Today’s gentle LBC topic is brought to us by Will Knott.  The links to the other Consortium Members are on the right hand side of the page and it’s always fun to see what their takes are!

I’m a poor physical dancer, not gifted with particular grace or great sense of rhythm.  I’m one of those dancers who becomes better with a Guinness in him.  Or, more accurately, I become a better dancer in my mind!

But, not that I’ve mentioned my mind … ahhh … that is where my dancing usually happens.  It is a bit like this picture I took of a part of the San Francisco Bay, which is about a mile from our home.

See how the sun dances on the wave faces?  I find it mesmerizing.  That is how my mind often meditates.  That is how I dance.

    1. Delirious, maybe we'd be better if Rummy and GM put on a little Sinatra and showed us how it's done!

  2. Is there a dance called the slouch? I should ask Rummy, it would be his vintage. ;)

    1. GM, I bet you're no slouch with those Julliette Prowse legs of yours!

  3. Grannymnar, Rummy is a grouch right now. And that is because he is dancing to the tunes of a grouch who in turn is scared out of his wits with the latest medical problems that he is faced with. But, in his heydays, Rummy was an accomplished dancer and was well known for his unique jiving style! Today with his mended hips, he manages a decent two step when the occasion demands it.

TOF, If you can dance inside your head, you have accomplished what the Sufis try to achieve their whole life time!

    1. Rummy, I can imagine you were definitely a hit on the dance floor! As for the medical problems, we are experiencing the same, but Lady F's mother shows better grace. We had to pack and head to the Napa emergency room yesterday afternoon and she is home and doing better this morning.

This, too, is part of the eternal dance.

  4. Glad Lady F's mother is doing better! I am also not a dancer--no physical coordination and no rhythm. Dancing in my head, now, that's more my style.

Gardening weather here, and my sweet peas are glorious!

    1. Excellent, ronincats! In many ways, we are two peas who didn't quite come from the same pod, but sure seem to have spent a lot of time in the same garden.
